The Principal of St. John’s Catholic Secondary School in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe, Sister Pauline Nyamundanda, has said the school will continue to nurture its students so that they grow into trustworthy leaders.

She made the remarks today during a ceremony to install new school prefects who will be responsible for guiding their fellow students.
According to Sister Nyamundanda, the newly elected prefects are expected to set good examples and lead their peers in a way that promotes academic success.
“My message to them is that leadership is all about humility, it’s all about service, and they should not hesitate to exercise the responsibility they have been given by the school. It is an honor for them to have been elected to hold these positions,” she said.
She further emphasized that the school will continue to provide high-quality education to ensure strong performance.
Outgoing Head Boy, Reza Jacob, pledged to continue offering advice to the new leaders to help them carry out their duties effectively.

He also urged them to remain focused on their studies, saying: “Apart from being chosen as prefects, they also have to understand why they are here, and they must concentrate on their studies.”
Lucas Daniel, who has been elected as the new Head Boy, said he will ensure that he leads his peers well in all aspects, including academics, spiritual growth, and good behavior.

The installation ceremony, which included the celebration of the Eucharist, was presided over by Father Demetrio Kadelera, the school chaplain.
