Mtumbuka Vows to Drive Progress in Rumphi Central As By-elections Gets Closer
Shadow MP for Rumphi Central Constituency, Matthews Mtumbuka of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) party, has reassured people from his constituency of his commitment to representing their interests and driving development in the area.
In a Facebook post, Mtumbuka emphasized that his leadership will go beyond physical development projects, if ashered into power.
He highlighted the importance of protecting the people’s interests and fostering meaningful progress in all aspects of their lives.
“We have been fixing boreholes, bridges, roads, school blocks, and even distributing food items within Rumphi Central Constituency, but today, like everywhere else in the country, our Constituency will also suffer the repercussions of fuel and electricity adjustments,” he said.
Mtumbuka expressed his deep connection to the constituency, stating, “Rumphi Central is not just my political battleground, it is my home village. I am deeply connected to it and passionate about its development.”
Mtumbuka who lost in last year’s elections, is Seeking election in the by-election caused by the vacancy left after Enoch Chihana was appointed Second Deputy President.
Mtumbuka vowed to work tirelessly to transform the constituency.
“I am confident my people know what is best for our community. Said Mtumbuka. That is why I have chosen to contest for this seat, and I will work tirelessly to transform the Constituency. Rumphi Central will rise and shine”.
The by-election is set to determine the representative for Rumphi Central Constituency following Chihana’s appointment.
